Akanksha Sharma is an internationally acclaimed CSR & Sustainability Expert and a Policy Analyst on Responsible Business. She is noted amongst ‘100 Most Impactful CSR Leaders Globally’ by World CSR Congress and ‘Young CSR Leader’ by India CSR in 2016. She is also being conferred with “Sustainability Leadership Award” by World Sustainability Forum.

Akanksha, who comes from Jaipur in India, is also a Peace Advocate and is the founder of “People for Peace”- a community for promoting peace, development and inclusion. She actively works for making businesses contribute towards peace and sustainable development through responsible practices and CSR.

She is a regular writer in India and Pakistan for the Times of India, Economic Times, Dawn (Pakistan), Huffington Post and Dailyo (India Today) among many others on Responsible Business, Peace Education, CSR, Sustainable Development and other issues.

Akanksha is also a “Global Climate Force Ambassador” and was chosen to represent India on “International Expedition on Climate Change at Antartica” in 2017.

She heads CSR and Sustainability for Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd. currently and has worked with UNICEF and Vedanta Resources in the past. With an extensive experience on CSR and Sustainability, she has successfully led community development programs focusing on Poverty Alleviation, Skill Development, Nutrition, Education, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Health & Sanitation, Farmers Development, Road Safety, Peace Education and others at remote rural areas of India. She has also worked on Public-Private resource convergence for Urban Development in India and Sri Lanka.

In her professional capacity, she has helped organizations partner with various ministries and policy making bodies for responsibly driving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by developing a Resource Convergence Mechanism on CSR.
