Gajendra S. Shrotriya, qualified as an engineer and an MBA Finance, is a filmmaker by passion. He started writing screenplays some ten years ago, and has so far written, produced and directed more than ten short films.
In 2010, he made his debut feature film titled Bhobhar in Rajasthani language which won awards at several international film festivals and was released in theatres in 2012.
In 2019, he wrote and directed his second feature film in Hindi titled Kasaai featuring Mita Vaishist, Ravi Jhankal, Mayur More and Richa Meena which at present is doing festival rounds and has already won a few awards.
He has written, produced and directed a 96 minute Hindi feature film titled Kasaai.The Film has been digitally released in all countries on ShemarooMe, the OTT platform of Shemaroo Entertainment.
He has written, produced and directed a 105 minute feature film titled “Bhobhar” in Rajasthani language, released in theatres in February 2012. This film explores the life and relationships of a small village farmer Rewat, a compulsive alcoholic.
He wrote, produced and directed several other films and screenplays that won various awards, was widely acclaimed and received well by audience. Some of them are “Chutki Baja Ke” in 2010 directed by Vedant Vishnoi, “I’m Sorry” in 2009, a 17 minute short film.This film got screened at Chicago Short Film Festival, a short film titled “Picnic” in 2008, In 2007, he made more than ten short films of duration 3 to 5 minutes on various subjects for web portal filmaka.
